A PERSONAL MENTOR PROGRAM for Plein-Aire Painting
My experience tells me that “one on one “ instruction and guidance is far more effective than limited attention received in a traditional crowded workshop.
I have developed a learning experience tailored to the intermediate to advanced student desiring to advance their skills, through increasing knowledge of COLOR THEORY for creating light and atmosphere, the power of DYNAMIC COMPOSITION for bringing the viewer into your painting and keeping them! and the HOW TO of paint application, and GENERAL ART PHILOSOPHY and ATTITUDES.
This program is suitable for students interested in out door painting or studio easel painting. However it is best suited for the individual that is interested in achieving a naturalistic representational painting skill.
This mentorship is developed for the student that is motivated to take his or her skill to another level. This is achieved with, communication and personal access for problem solving, the sharing of knowledge and nurturing the creative thought process.
The initial session will prepare a common ground for the language of visual art that allows me to discuss and lead the student into developing the skill set and information to develop the skills for intellectual problem solving of visual challenges that all artist deliberate. The initial session is intended to start building a foundation upon which you will work with me at your pace in the future.
My initial session is described below. The development of a program is flexible according to the individual needs of each mentor.
If you are from out of town, it is best to plan several days for the initial work..
